The Night Life Looks
Life can't always be viewed in black and white, sometimes you have to add a dash of COLOR!!!!
"He
say he like my style but I talk too fast. And I got that
drive and he just
might crash" (Bag of $$$$)
Sunday night I went out with my Sis to a
Seattle University graduation party. Since it was a celebration I
decided to add some fun and excitement to my outfit with a color blocking top (Nordstrom),
basic body con black skirt (Target), and snake print/pink peep toe platforms (Charlotte Russe). For accessory's I wore diamond studs, a Swarovshi drop charm necklace, and Micheal Kores wrist-let
I had a great time and really enjoyed myself.
Until next time, thanks for having your daily Piece of Pie XOXO

June is here and Fashion is in FULL BLOOM!!!
Summer is finally here and everything's coming up roses (and daffodils, and orchids, and daisies) with this years tend, Floral Prints. Nothing says sunshine and exudes femininity than a bright floral print. It seems like a lot of celebs and fellow fashionistas have been seen rocking these colorful arrangements. Whether it's represented in a printed maxi dress, high-waist skirt, platform shoe, shoulder bag or a pair of trousers, floral is defiantly the new black in fashion and I suggest you all take a walk through its garden. Well until next time, thanks for having your daily Piece of Pie XOXO

Ladies We Have To Do Better, Will All The Real Women Please Stand Up!!!
Today I saw this photo of the cover
for the June issue of Vibe magazine. Photoed is r&b singer turned
reality t.v. star Kandi Burrus,
and other reality t.v. stars Tamar
Braxton, Evelyn Lozada,
and Chrissy Lampkin with the title being "Meet
Your New Role Models". Now when I initially seen this I
thought, "That’s a cute picture of them all" but when I scroll down
to read the caption I immediately became upset. With the
exception of Kandi, I'm not sure if I feel comfortable calling any of these
women role models. What are they really teaching/showing young girls to expire
to be??? Ghetto/Ratchet women that refuse to use the standard and proper
English language and diction, that's it's ok to fight over every word used
against you, or that you should be tossed around by one pro-athlete, singer,
rapper, actor, or any other male with higher social status to another in hopes
to gain fame and validation in an industry that only notices you for what you
hold between your two legs rather than your two ears. It's sad to say but this
in no way, shape, form, or fashion should be the influence and
personification that any girl, young or old should look up to. It's actually
sad to know what these women would subject themselves to and be proud to air it
all on national television. Don't get me wrong I like all these women for
entertainment purposes but do I feel they should hold influence on what should
or should not be to other women and girls, NO!!!! All of these ladies with the
exception of Kandi became "famous" and "well known" for
riding the coat tails of someone else who actually made it by their own
doing. Tamar has her sister Toni and her husband to thank for
her relevance, Evelyn has Chad and every other industry dude that she has
been connected to, and Chrissy has Jim Jones and the BIG time crime lords she
was with prior to her and Jim's relationship. Kindi on the other hand is the
only one who made her name off of her own work ethic and hustle. With all of
that being said, I'm sorry but I think I’m better off finding some other role
models and I think you should do the same. Well until next time, Thanks for
having your daily Piece of
PieXOXOX

My Weekend Looks/Gospel Fest Event Pics
Hey Loves... I had such a great weekend. Friday I went to one of my Girlfriends birthday celebrations. It was nice seeing my friends to catch up and share what's been going on in our lives.
My Dinner With The Girls Outfit
Saturday I ran around in the sun, went to a couple of meetings, got me a mani/pedi (pics coming soon), and visited my my Mom and Granny for a while.
My Saturday Running Around Outfit
And Sunday I helped out at Gospel Fest 2012, a wonderful event that one of my friends Jacqueine Echols helped put on (make sure you check her out echolsj@seattleu.edu to help with your next event). It was an event to honor and highlight choirs throughout the Seattle and Tacoma areas. It showcased the talent of local churches, community choirs, and artists that are all blessed to call the Great Northwest their home. This years participating choirs were Harmonic Diversity, In His Image, The Oliver's, and Greater Works (1st Places Winner). They were all truly amazing and very talented. Aside from the dynamic choirs, the Gospel Fest 2012 team partnered with Seattle Pacific University also brought out some legendary and heavy hitting artists, Lady Tramine Hawkins and the animated and energetic Pastor Dietrick Haddon. These two performers gave everyone a show to remember. They also had some GREAT performances from Seattle's own Michelle Lang & Still Water, Liberty University Choir from Virginia, Seattle Pacific University Choir, and Sounds of the Northwest. It was truly an AWESOME event and the highlight of my weekend. I don't think I could've ended it in any better way. I can't wait until next years event.

You gotta love this woman. She's such an inspiration
By the way did I mention that they were giving me fashion for the Gods at the event. This woman had it together!!! I have a feeling I will be sharing more info about her and what she does very soon.
Even Dietrick had to show out a little. Letting us know what color blocking is all about
And those shoes...YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!
Well that's all I have for today. Until next time, thanks for having your daily PieceOf PieXOXOXO
